Visitors to this week's London Motorcycle Show at Excel will be able to learn more about the UK's most popular motorcycle tracking device, as we welcome customers to the Bike Trac stand at the show.
Acknowledged as the capital of bike theft, London is by far Bike Trac's most active area for theft with over 90% of all assisted recoveries occurring in the capital city.
Bill Taylor, explained, "It's certainly no secret that London is rife with motorcycle theft. Since the launch of our system in 2009 over 90% of all recoveries have occurred in the London area, with the south of the city a particular hotspot. In our experience basic security is no match for the capital's bike thieves either, with many machines stolen when secured with a chain or disc lock".
Bike Trac's technology in comparison to rival products is particularly useful in London, where the unique RF technology of Bike Trac enables the authorities to precisely pin-point a bike's location - exceptionally useful should a bike be hidden in a block of garages.
"Many of the recoveries we have made in London can be attributed to our RF technology", continued Taylor. "Very often we'll trace a bike via GPS to a location only to be met with a block of garages. GPS technology is great but it is not accurate to a precise location, and so when the authorities need to raise a search warrant or force entry, they need to be sure they've got the right location. Of all motorcycle tracking devices, only Bike Trac offers this."
With live demonstrations of the Bike Trac system on the stand at MCN's London Show, Bike Trac welcome interested riders along to take a look at the technology for themselves.
Bike Trac can be found on Stand S140, Hall 1.
