Bike Trac has joined forces with motorcycle charity ride 'David's Way Round' as motorcyclist and Samaritans volunteer David Exley attempts to ride around the UK and Ireland visiting every Samaritans branch to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Riding his BMW F800ST, and equipped with a Bike Trac unit to record the entire journey, David will begin his 49-day challenge on 2nd July, raising funds for the charity that is both close to his heart and for who he is a volunteer.
David commented, "I have two very specific reasons for being a Samaritan. 24 years ago my younger brother Tim took his own life on Christmas day and four years ago my only son James tragically ended his own life too. In memory of James and Tim and the 6,000 people who take their own lives annually, I intend to ride my motorbike 6,000 miles across the UK and Republic of Ireland to visit all 201 branches of Samaritans during July and August and in the process raise awareness and funds for this hugely important charity.
